The Student Media Design Contest is still in development. It may be launched this calendar year (2012) or in 2013. A public announcement will be made when the schedule has been decided. The contest series will feature multiple categories including Best Video, Best Essay/Article, and best Photo Story in addition to the currently running Best Poster contest. Three separate divisions (Elementary/Middle School, High School and College) provide cash prizes to be awarded in each media category.
